Costa Fortuna
Until late November 2010 Costa Fortuna offers 7-night cruises out of Venice to the Italian port of Bari, Katakolon (near ancient Olympia), the Greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos, the famed ancient port of Rhodes, and the World Heritage Site of Dubrovnik (Croatia). Stateroom sizes are above average and comfortable; consider upgrading to a mini-suite or suite. Toddlers, children and teenagers have their own areas and activities. About 15% of guests are North American, the rest are mainly from Italy, Spain, France and Germany.

Built in 2003, at 102,587 GT and with 2,720 passengers, Costa Fortuna boasts a high balcony ratio, an alternative restaurant, and a splashy decorating scheme. The ship’s décor highlights classic Italian vessels, with American-style comforts. Morning and through the day dine at the various buffets. Dinner may be very formal European-style, or in one of the alternative clubs or pizzeria. Entertainment is diverse, something for everyone, from elegant dancing to jazz to elaborate theatrical productions. Sit, meet, and people-watch in the Costa Atrium (deck 3 up to deck 7). The stern pool can be enjoyed in all weather with its retractable glass roof, while the main lido deck impresses with its exceptional space and design. Fellow passengers hail from North American, Italy, Spain, France and Germany – with multi-language announcements.
