Costa Atlantica 
In May 2010 Costa Atlantica departs New York for a 17-night transatlantic cruise that visits the New England area, and the West European coast to Copenhagen. In late September 11-night cruises recommence between New York and Quebec, visiting ports on the US Eastern seaboard and the St. Lawrence River. In late October 2010 Atlantica departs Quebec to visit Bermuda and the Eastern Seaboard, relocating to Fort Lauderdale. Of its 1,057 staterooms, 78% include a sea view and 80% of these have balconies. All staterooms have TV with extensive channel selections (from movies to ship and shore activities), including interactive account payments, along with all modern standard amenities. Most have twin beds convertible to queen-size. Staterooms range from Grand Suites to Panorama and Oceanview. There are four handicapped-accessible cabins.
At 85,619 GT and carrying 2,114 passengers, Costa Atlantica is a large resort ship that entered service in 2000. The vessel offers “Cruising Italian Style.” Apart from the stunning 10-deck atrium and mini piazzas, the vessel boasts three outdoor pools and winding two-deck water slide, and inside a décor that mixes classical Italy with contemporary features. The layout allows easy flow to public spaces, and there are several floors for dancing and socialising. Announcements come in English and Italian. Dining is by buffet, lunch-time Napoli Pizzeria, two-deck Tiziano Restaurant at traditional fixed sittings, and alternative fine dining at Ristorante Club Atlantica by reservation. Three notable venues are Caffe Florian (a reproduction of the famous cafe in St Mark's Square in Venice), Dante's Disco, and the Coral Lounge. The three-deck Caruso Theater is the ship's main show lounge. Atlantica offers an extensive range of day and night activities, notably entertainment and activities produced by its own cruise staff. Shore excursions are efficiently handled. Costa Atlantica's top three decks are devoted to fitness, spa and sun, and boast a superb gym. Costa places a high premium on families, though average age is close to 60.
