Carnival Elation
Carnival Elation offers alternate 4- and 5-night sails out of San Diego to the Mexican Riviera. Stop for a day at Cabo San Lucas on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico, famous for its golf courses and game fishing; and for the longer cruise stop over at Ensenada for an introduction to Mexican history and culture. From May 2010 she relocates to the Caribbean. The ship's staterooms have flat-screen TV, wall-installed, in-shower bath, and most feature twin beds, combined into an extremely comfortable king-size bed. Carnival's Comfort Bed is a 5-star hotel sleep system. Only top-priced cabins have a veranda. Triples and quads accommodate the needs of three or four people travelling together. Twenty cabins provide for physically challenged guests.

Carnival Elation entered service in 1998. At 70,367 GT she carries 2,052 passengers. Renovations have modernised her, with mini golf course on the sports deck, refurbished staterooms, new children’s facilities, remodelled restaurants, water parks with whirlpools and three pools, and an adults-only deck. Other features include lobby with 7-story atrium, internet access, library, and spa and fitness facilities. Carnival Elation offers excellent Las Vegas-style entertainment, a selection of theme bars and lounges, and some of the largest standard cabins in the cruise industry. Dining service and food quality is excellent, both formal and informal. Past guests give top marks for the ship’s entertainment and its value-for-money. Despite the large number of passengers, there is no sense of being crowded onboard. This well-maintained vessel is ideal for families, veteran travellers, multigenerational groups, honeymooners and singles.
