Azamara Journey
Azamara Journey’s annual cruises follow the sun: from mid-April crossing the Atlantic (14 nights), to the Mediterranean for shorter 7-night cruises out of major ports; then to the North Atlantic, UK, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea out of Copenhagen; from mid-August 7- and 12-night cruises of the Eastern Mediterranean; and in mid-November returning to the Caribbean for 12-night cruises ex Miami. In January 2011 Azamara visits the Mexican Riviera ex San Diego, returning to the Caribbean in February. Cruises visit many out-of-the-way ports, and passengers may spend most of their daylight hours on shore visiting the sights. Tours can be pre-planned at additional cost. Apart from trans-Atlantic crossings, cruises are mostly in a new port every day. A selection of staterooms on nine levels offers well-appointed comfort, flat-screen TV, with 24-hour room and butler service (93% of the staterooms have ocean views and 68% a private veranda).

Built in 2000 and operated by Azamara since 2007, the mid-size 30270 GT vessel carries 694 passengers. Due to her small size, she is able to call at some of the lesser visited ports. Features include wireless internet to all spaces, a martini bar, a casino, pool, and shopping. There is a traditional one-story dining room, Discoveries, as well as a lido deck buffet restaurant. The ship also features two specialty restaurants, Aqualina and Prime C, as well as coffee café, piano bar and wine bar. Entertainment includes onboard activities, shows, enrichment programs, art auctions and spa/Fitness Center. With one staff member for every two guests, service is personalised. Special needs are cared for.
