Cruises from Hodeidah
One of the most beautiful cities of Yemen, Hodeidah (aka Al Hudaydah) is an important seaport situated on the Red Sea, and the fourth largest city in Yemen. Interestingly, on a clear day, Eritrea and Ethiopia can be seen across the Red Sea. Hodeidah developed as the leading port of the Ottomans when the coffee trade at Mukha dwindled and still retains its old Turkish quarter. The city is not large but it has more than 100 old mosques.

Upstairs, decorative stucco work and niches in walls pressed with coloured glass and mirrors scintillate with painted peacock designs. The city has a large number of historical places, particularly in Zabid where its domestic and military architecture together with its urban plan make it an outstanding archaeological and historical site.
