Wallis and Futuna is a French island collectivity (subdivision) in the South Pacific consisting of two small island groupings in Polynesia near Fiji and Samoa. The village of Mata-Utu, located on Wallis Island, is the capital of the territory. Situated in the small village of Mata-Utu is the cathedral built using hand-cut blue volcanic stone with two blocklike towers overlooking the wharf.
