Cruises from Peter Island
Peter Island is the largest private island in the British Virgin Islands. It lies east of Puerto Rico, and at the northern end of the Leeward Islands chain that separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea. The island is an unusual “L”-shape, 4.9km E-W and 3.2km N-S. It lies 30 minutes by boat 8km SSE of the territory’s capital Road Town, on the largest island, Tortola. Read more
Just off to the NE is Dead Chest Island. It is said that marooned pirates tried to swim from there to Peter Island, and were washed up on the shores of – what else – Deadman’s Bay.
