Cruises from Snake River
Snake River is a major river in the Pacific Northwest of the US, arising in Yellowstone National Park, flowing into Columbia River and thence the Pacific Ocean. It rushes through rugged canyons and low hills to an alluvial plain, its energy tapped by major dams and electricity generation. Large numbers of salmon migrate upriver as far as Shoshone Falls. Below the falls is Hells Canyon, one of the most treacherous parts of the river.
