Cruises from Nomuka Island
Nomuka is a small island in the Ha’apai group of islands in the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific Ocean. It has a population of around 400 inhabitants. The triangular island, with its large circular brackish lake in the middle, has been visited by Abel Tasman (who named it Rotterdam Island in 1643), Captain Cook (for fresh water in the 1770s), and Captain Bligh (one day before the famous mutiny on the Bounty in 1789). The island is beautiful, with white sandy beaches, a little spoken English, and friendly Tongans. Read more
The island is mostly bushland with patches of green down to the ocean. There is also the opportunity to relax on the beaches or engage in kayaking and snorkelling.
