Cruises from Mbike Island
Mbike Island is one of the 900+ islands constituting Solomon Islands, an archipelago in Pacific Melanesia that lies east of Papua New Guinea. The island is less than 200m across, and is situated 50km NNE of the capital Honiara. Mbike is covered with tropical vegetation and skirted by narrow sandy beaches around the top half. It is surrounded by a shallow coral reef, and within a few kilometres is encircled by two larger islands of the group. Read more
Ashore are shade huts, thatched beach umbrellas, and a supply of small kayaks and canoes. The island is privately owned. Visitors are shaded under the huge trees, and off-shore are drawn to the extensive coral reef.
