Cruises from Provideniya

Provideniya is a settlement in Russia across the Bering Strait from Alaska (274 km distant), a few kilometres on the Eastern side of the International Date Line, and 213 km south of the Arctic Circle. The town’s population of 50 nationalities includes a significant number of indigenous Yupik (Eskimo). This deep water port was a former military base in a protective fjord, close to the southern limits of the northern icefield.
