Cruises from Cape Navarin
Cape Navarin lies just 46 km west of the International Date Line, at the southern border of the Gulf of Anadyr, on the Bering Sea in the North Pacific. The Gulf itself used to be ice-covered for 10 months of the year, but recently has been ice free. Off the Cape you’ll see Steller sea lion, Pacific walrus; ribbon, ringed and spotted seals; bowhead, fin, humpback, gray and beluga whales; and Orca; and the sea is a spawning ground for Chum Salmon. The Cape itself rises above 200m cliffs, white from snow and ice for much of the year. It has one of the most abundant seabird colonies in the Russian Far East.
