Cruises from Bagabag Island

Bagabag Island is located in the Madang province of Papua New Guinea. It lies approximately 64 km NE of Madang and directly SE of the larger Karkar Island. The island is roughly circular with a diameter of 7 km. Volcanic in origin, terrain on Bagabag consists of steep, thickly vegetated slopes rising to 618 m on the N side of the island. Much of the northern, eastern and southern coasts are fringed by a barrier-type reef some 2 km offshore. The reef is narrow and mostly submerged.
