Oye is a small village at the head of the Norangsfjord in the municipality of Ørsta in the west of Norway. It is a branch of the Hjorundfjord, one of the most visually impressive fjords in Norway overlooked by majestic peaks of the Sunnmøre Alps. The mountains rise straight from the sea to a height of 1700 metres. Both sides of the fjord are heavily wooded, the result of the extensive rainfall on one of the world’s wettest fjords.

Rich in heritage and culture with arts and craft opportunities, the area also offers a wide variety of excursions, ranging from advanced climbing to easy trekking. The river flowing through Oye offers salmon fishing, or you can try your luck with the trout in the mountain lakes or fjord fishing.
