To make the most of Noumea’s warm and sunny climate, the best time to visit Noumea is between April to May and September to November which is the region's dry season. If you plan to snorkel or dive while visiting, June to October offers the best visibility (30-40cm) and the best opportunity to see whales in the wild! Noumea’s cruise port is located 200m from the city centre. Upon stepping off the cruise ships, you are greeted by the warm locals as they perform their traditional welcome dance.
