Cruises visiting Saipan & all Saipan cruises for  2017

View Saipan 2017 cruises for 1 ships listing 1 cruises from Saipan with today's best deals!

Saipan Island is one of the Northern Mariana Islands located in the tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It competes with Guam for the hordes of Japanese tourists who flock to its shores. It has the distinction of being the fastest-growing island in Micronesia. Held by the Japanese during WWII, Saipan today is a modern, clean and thriving community comprising several villages that are more like small towns. Nearly all its northern, southern, and eastern beaches are protected by a fringing coral barrier reef, while its easterly side takes the brunt of the storm seas with towering cliffs and rugged rocks.

Escape to one of its magnificent beaches for an enjoyable swim in crystal clear aqua waters, or take the opportunity to do some world class diving. Experience its unhurried and friendly lifestyle, the range of international and indigenous cultures, and the warm island hospitality, all of which are as unforgettable as the magical Micronesian sunsets. If interested in history be sure to visit the American Memorial Park, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Museum of History and Culture.

Make time to visit Mount Tapochau, a 480m limestone formation, and Mount Achugao, a remnant of a volcanic cone. Sport fishing is excellent offshore, with numerous small boats catching tuna, wahoo, billfish, and many other species. Garapan is the main tourist district with a range of ethnic restaurants, bars, and international shopping centres. Visitors may also take the opportunity to play a round of golf.
