Cruises from Minto Inlet
Minto Inlet is situated in the Northwest Territories of Arctic Canada, on the western coast of Victoria Island. It is an arm of Amundsen Gulf, which is on one of the shipping routes of the western end of the Northwest Passage. The region was explored extensively in the mid 19th C in search of a northwest passage, and by Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen between 1903 and 1906. The entire gulf is in the Arctic tundra climate region, characterised by extremely cold winters.
