Cruises from Francois, New Foundland
Francois is a town on the southern coast of the Canadian island of Newfoundland at the end of a small fjord. The small settlement of fewer than 100 people faces François Bay. On entering the 2.5 km fjord that is around 400 m wide, cliffs rise to over 200 m on each side, bare grey granite with a smattering of green shrubs. The hamlet is initially out of view, tucked around the left side of the hills at the head of the fjord. If there’s heavy rain, rivulets cascade down the hillsides.
