Happy Customers

The whole experience of booking thru your company was great, no complaints at all. Glad that Natasha took the time to follow up the waiting list and gave us a ring. The staff have all been terrific - keep the bargains coming as we are officially retired and can go at a moment's notice... Thanks everyone!"

River Queen Overview

In March and April every year River Queen offers 9-night Tulips and Windmills cruises between Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium). During other months she offers two itineraries. The first sails the Rhine-Moselle rivers over 12 nights, from Amsterdam to Basel (Switzerland), passing all the fame castles and visiting Luxembourg. The other, over 14 nights, sails the Rhine-Main-Danube from Budapest to Amsterdam. This classic journey passes all the major port-cities and castles of western Europe. These cruises are for those who appreciate history and architecture from Roman times, Medieval towns and castles, connoisseurs of wine, beer and food, and lovers of music. The ship is part of the most luxurious fleet in Europe.

All cabins are outside, comfortable, and maintained by twice-a-day service. All have premium bedding, controllable AC, direct-dial telephone, flat-screen TV with satellite, storage, built-in safe, vanity, hair dryer, bathrobes, and compact bathroom fitted out with L’Occitane products. Lower deck cabins have head-height windows, and middle deck staterooms have twin panoramic windows, and upper deck staterooms have twin full-height panoramic windows. An elevator services the middle and upper accommodation decks. Adjoining staterooms are available. Guest laundry and ironing facilities are available.

Food and Dining

The Restaurant is on the top Reception deck and provides open seating. Dining is acclaimed as “best-of-the-best” by observers of the river cruise industry. Breakfasts and lunches are full buffet with an extensive array of hot and cold items, and individually prepared items are available. Menu items change daily, follow the region and season, and include Continental and American preparations. Local and regional specialities are featured. Dinner is open-seating with four courses. Accompanying dinner are fine wines and a selection of beers and soft drinks.

The cruise focus is on exploration and walking tours with local guides. Tour variations continue to expand to meet the requests of guests: you have a choice of five ways to explore, according to your wishes. Travel lectures expand your knowledge of the regions visited, and the Epicurean Adventurer Program enhances your appreciation of local cuisine ashore. Visiting entertainers come on board along the route. A Family-Friendly program is offered during school holiday times.
