Be spoiled on the Marina experiencing 12 unforgettable nights aboard the Wineries & Wonders Cruise through the waters of Europe - Western & British Isles. Your ship departs from Barcelona with an itinerary that includes 11 ports in 4 countries before arriving at Southampton. This particular 5 star voyage from Oceania Cruises has 1 forward departures, but is unfortunately sold out for this departure.

Marina Overview

Until September 2017 Marina sails around the UK, Baltic Sea, and Iberian Peninsula. Cruises are from 7 to 23 nights. During warmer October Marina is in the Mediterranean. In December take a trans-Atlantic cruise that joins the Eastern Caribbean, West Africa, Canary Islands and, for a longer cruise, Spain, France and Italy. At the turn of 2017-2018 she is in the Caribbean and Central America, and then heads to French Polynesia. In March 2018 Marina heads back east through Panama, Caribbean, and New England to the Continental coastline. In November 2018 consider the TransAtlantic crossing from Barcelona to Rio de Janeiro – 9 ports in 5 countries and 2 continents. Being a smaller ship, Marina calls at many ports missed by the large cruise vessels, and South America has many strong attractions that can be highly recommended. All cruises are port-intensive, and itineraries are exceptionally attractive. Sectors range from 7 nights upwards, and the range of small and interesting ports around the world that she visits is impressive.

Most cabins have an outside view, and two-thirds have a private balcony. The standard interior and outside cabins are quite elegant, with twin/queen-size bed and ‘best beds at sea’, bathrobes, plenty of built-in cabinets, flat-screen TV, DVD player, writing desk, satellite phone, wireless Internet, and personal safe. Décor is attractive and muted with dark wood accents. Maid service is twice daily and chocolates come with a nightly turn-down service. Ocean view staterooms have a sofa, separate tub and shower, and full height panoramic windows. Speedy room service is available from a separate in-room dining menu.

Food and Dining

The Grand Dining Room is exactly that, with its high ceiling, chandelier and rich furnishings after the style of Europe’s five-star restaurants. Cuisine is European Continental-style, and menus change daily. Two new gourmet restaurants are Jacques, for Jacques Pépin’s French cuisine, and Red Ginger for Pan-Asian classics. Complimentary restaurants include the signature Polo Grill for steak and seafood, and Toscana offering genuine Tuscan cuisine and wines. Priveé may be reserved for up to 10 guests, who will savour a gourmand-inspired seven-course Menu Degustation. La Reserve by Wine Spectator is an industry-first onboard wine-tasting centre for gourmands (maximum 24, by reserve and extra charge).

On-shore itineraries are the main daytime fare. However, on the ship, day classes include small-group Microsoft software instruction, use of the Internet, and digital photography - that is, if you are not absorbed in the Library, wine tasting, or relaxing in a top-deck Jacuzzi. Bon Appetit Culinary Centre is the only hands-on cooking school at sea, tutored by Master Chefs. In the evening the ship is filled with music in eight bars and lounges. Entertainment includes a mix of comedians, magicians, classical recitals, and staff entertainers; or your own efforts at karaoke.
