This long-established and Australian-crewed expedition line specialises in cruising the north-west coastline of Australia. Cruises also extend around the continental coastline, Papua New Guinea and the Melanesian islands. Its vessel True North immerses guests in the history, culture and ecology of its destinations, sightseeing rivers, reefs and islands inaccessible to larger vessels. Daily expeditions start and finish from an onboard base of casual luxury and comfort. Adventurous guest activities include fishing, snorkelling, picnics, diving and exploring. Breath-taking scenery is viewed from small-group expedition boats and the on-board helicopter.

Boasting the only expedition cruise ship with its own helicopter and pad, you'll take in experiences not available to the masses. Past guest reviews invariably speak highly of their cruise experiences – of the amenities, the itineraries, and the camaraderie of crew members. The most recent of North Star Cruises’ many awards for tourism is its Luxury Travel Magazine 2015 Gold List Winner for “Best Luxury Cruise Ship – (Small)” and “Best Australian Adventure Experience”. Find out about linking up with a stay at EL QUESTRO Homestead while in the Kimberley.
