A recent online survey by Royal Caribbean International (owners of Celebrity) found that ‘romance’ ranked as the Number One activity on cruise itineraries. Celebrity’s ships are more suited to sophisticated adult couples, families with older children, singles, and guests who appreciate stylish surroundings, no announcements, quality entertainment, and food/service that are extremely good. Niceties are reflected by way of staff members’ crisp uniforms and attention to small personal services, dining tables for two along with real chinaware and cloth napkins, cloth towels in the public restroom, and assistance with trays to dining tables.
