Pointe-a-Pitre (“Headland of Peter”; population 172,000) is the largest city of Guadeloupe, an overseas region of France, located in the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean. Saint-Barthelemy (St Bart’s) is a French island located in the Caribbean among the Leeward Islands.
