Cruises from Lumut
Lumut lies on the west coast of the Malaysian peninsula, a fishing village and staging point for the offshore private resort Pangkor Island. It lies mid-way between Kuala Lumpur and Penang, on the Malacca Strait opposite Sumatra. Its name comes from Malaysian for the moss or seaweed that was once found liberally on the beaches. Lumut is home to the Royal Malaysian Navy and Boustead Naval Shipyard.
